Registration Guidelines

The VLSI Symposia encourages all participants to register online. All payments must be made in Japanese Yen by credit card or bank transfer. To avoid any trouble, please DO NOT register more than once.

The deadline for the Early Registration is May 12. On or after May 13, and on or before May 22, registration will be processed only at the Late Registration fee.
The final advanced registration deadline is May 22, 2017. After May 22, please register on-site.

!Attention!

This year, the Symposia on VLSI Technology and Circuits have fully aligned the symposia schedule. Both the Technology and Circuits Short Courses are on Monday, June 5, and Plenary Talks and regular presentations are from Tuesday, June 6 to Thursday, June 8.
We will have several new programs: a Demo Session in the evening on Monday, June 5, 30th of Symposia on VLSI Circuits Anniversary Ceremony in the evening on Tuesday, June 6, and so-called Friday Forum on Beyond VLSI, entitled “International Forum on Singularity: Exponential X” on Friday, June 9.

Symposia Schedule

 

1) Registration Fee

All deadline dates are in Japan Standard Time.

* Regular registration fees for “Symposia on VLSI Technology and Circuits” include Joint Banquet.
Student registration includes Joint Banquet on complimentary basis.

** Please note that both Tech. Short Course and Circ. Short Courses are held at the same time on Monday, June 5.

*** Symposia Luncheon Talk is limited to 90 persons on a first-come-first-served basis.

Note:
In 2017, for the first time, both Symposia on VLSI Technology and Circuits will be fully overlapped and will start on Monday, June 5 at the same location. A single registration allows participants to attend both Symposia.

The registration fees entitle the registrant to the following;

* To register only for Friday Forum, please wait until the forum website opens.

2) Payment

All payments must be made in Japanese Yen by credit card or bank transfer. Please complete the payments no later than May 12 for the Early Registration. The Late Registration fees are requested to be paid before May 22, 2017.

1. Bank transfer to VLSI Symposium.

2. Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, AMEX or JCB).
Only cash (Japanese Yen) or credit cards will be accepted at the onsite Registration Desk.
* For receipt, you can download the PDF of receipt from your account after online registration and payment.

3) Confirmation

If you have paid the registration fees by credit card, a payment confirmation e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address automatically.
If you pay the registration fees by bank transfer, a reply e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address. After confirming your payment, a payment confirmation e-mail will be sent by the Secretariat.
Please print out the payment confirmation e-mail and present at the registration desk to receive the Symposium materials.
If you do not receive any e-mail message within 24 hours, please contact the Secretariat.

4) Cancellation

In case of cancellation, please send a message by email or fax to the Secretariat Japan.
The following cancellation fees will apply based on the date when the Secretariat Japan receives your cancellation notification.

Refunds will be made after the Symposia.
A bank handling charge will be deducted from the amount of refund respectively.

5) Inquiries for Visa Documentation

Citizens of certain countries are required to obtain a visa to enter Japan.
The organizer will provide assistance to prepare the documents for visa application.

* The period of your stay must be scheduled for a maximum of 2 weeks (including conference period [4 days], arrival and departure day in Japan).
