Welcome to the 2016 Symposia on VLSI Technology & Circuits. We appreciate your interest in submitting a paper to the Symposium. On this page, you will find all the necessary information and forms for the preparation of your submitted paper. The accepted papers will be included in the Digest of Technical Papers as received, without opportunity for further changes.

Before Submitting Your Paper

Please read the Pre-publication Policy for the Symposia.

Before you submit your paper, it is important to read all the information under each of the 5 tabs listed under “Before Submitting Your Paper”. After reading the instructions on each of the tabs below (Online Submission, Submission Preparation, Important Notice, Scope), click on the Online Submission tab for the links to submit the source file of your paper.

All submissions MUST be 2 pages long.   Any other page length will be grounds for automatic withdrawal.

Best Student Paper Award

The VLSI Symposia has established a Best Student Paper Award to encourage the research of student project which will lead the next generation.

Recent Developments

The technical content of press releases regarding accepted papers issued before 7:00 PM PDT June 13, 2016 must be limited to information included in the Symposia Advance Program or the Symposia Press Kit. After 7:00 pm PDT, June 13, 2016, press releases on the technical content of the full accepted papers are allowed.

Online Paper Submission

Once you are ready to submit your source file to the submission site, click on the appropriate link to the Symposium you are submitting to.

    • Verify that your submission is 2 pages according to the Author’s Guide. Any other page length will be grounds for automatic withdrawal.
    • Verify that the margins in your paper are sufficient according to the Author’s Guide.
    • Check that the font size of the main text in your paper is no less than 10pt and that your paper meets all other font size specifications in the authors guide.
    • Be aware that if your paper is published prior to the Symposia, it will be withdrawn from the Symposia.
    • Make sure you have approval of your affiliation to submit and present your paper at the Symposia.


To Revise Your Submissions

If you wish to revise an already submitted paper, you will need to submit your new source file to PDF Express.  Once you have created your IEEE Xplore compliant pdf, log on to the submissin site, enter your log in information and upload your revised file.
You can revise or confirm your submission as many times as you wish up until the deadline. To cancel your submission, you should inform the Secretariat in writing. Contact information for both of the Secretariats is at the bottom of this screen.
The Symposium on VLSI Technology will have a Late News Submission. The deadline for Late News paper submissions is March 24, 2016, 23:59 PST.

PDF Express is not used for the late news.  Please create your pdf and embed the fonts and then upload to the submission site.
