Shinya Yamakawa - 2021 Technology Symposium Chair
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to join the 2021 Symposium on VLSI Technology to be held from June 13th to June 19th, 2021 with a fully virtual format. Since its founding in 1981, the Symposium on VLSI Technology, jointly sponsored by the Japan Society of Applied Physics and the IEEE Electron Devices Society, has been one of the world’s premier technical conferences on semiconductor integrated circuits and microelectronics. In addition, we will have fully overlapped program with the 2021 Symposium on VLSI Circuits. The symposium programs are designed to provide the topics both from technology and circuit design aspects, which will be presented by the experts from both industry and academia.
As of January 2021, COVID-19 still has severe impact on our daily lives and health. Since your health and safety are our first concern, we held 2020 Symposia on VLSI Technology & Circuits in fully virtual format and will continue it to 2021 Symposia. The committee members are now working on the virtual platform. We believe we can offer you a great experience on our virtual VLSI Symposia.
Our daily lifestyle and health had been changed a lot by COVID-19. With the 2021 Symposium theme of “VLSI Systems for Lifestyle Transformation”, the VLSI society will discuss how our lifestyle and health will be improved and transformed with the state-of-the-art semiconductor science and technology for VLSI. I hope you and your colleagues to submit the contributed papers in all aspects of the VLSI Technology. I look forward to welcoming you to the virtual 2021 Symposium on VLSI Technology.
